Lent marks a pivotal point in the history of the church, when Jesus prepared to give himself for others. Tradition has it that we mark the 40 days of Lent by giving something up, but what if it could be more than that? What if Lent were to become a preparation for a lifetime of big-heartedness? This study focuses on seven key aspects of the early church in the Book of Acts (Brave, United, Gifted, Planted, Responsive, Connected, Forgiven) that will lead us deeper in our devotion.

The Jewishness Of Jesus

We will explore aspects of Jesus' Jewish heritage and the physical/geographic world in which he lived. Topics will include what it meant to be a Rabbi, life of the certain sects of Judaism, the Jewish outlook on life and scripture and what it was like to live in the first century Levant. The group will end with a traditional Passover meal on April 12. Kids are welcome.
