Whether you come with family, friends, or on your own, volunteering is a meaningful way to meet new people, share the spirit of fall, and support vital mission work.
Talking about race isn’t easy, but it is essential. This five-week series, Let’s Talk Race: A Beginner’s Guide to Conversations about Race, offers an accessible introduction to the spiritual, historical, and societal impacts of race in America—and within the church.
Join us on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 12:30–2:00 pm in Room 1 for an informative session with Rebecca McElwain from Texas Impact. Rebecca will provide an overview of the 17 constitutional amendments that will appear on the November ballot, helping us engage with clarity and intention.
The Austin Street team is preparing again to make, deliver and serve food. All of your help is greatly appreciated.
On Saturday, October 25 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, come enjoy a fun night for the family in the AUMC parking lot. Get in costume, bring your own basket and come collect candy from the uniquely decorated trunks. This is free event provided by the Arapaho Families Ministry. So pack up your kids or grandkids and come enjoy a night of fun.
Grief has a way of lingering quietly within us—sometimes too tender to touch, sometimes too heavy to name. But art can open a gentle door. It gives us space to feel, to remember, and to honor the people and stories that have shaped our lives.
We will not meet the rise of white Christian nationalism with silence or compliance. Now is the time for people of moral courage, spiritual imagination, and radical love to come together. A multiracial, multifaith, intergenerational movement must rise—committed to justice, compassion, and strategic resistance.
Parenting is one of the most rewarding and most challenging callings in life. Every parent knows the push and pull of wanting to nurture with love while also setting firm boundaries. Add the complexity of trying to stay on the same page with a spouse or partner, and the work can feel overwhelming. But what if there were tools to help you find clarity, unity, and hope along the way?
You’re invited to join us for an evening of conversation and connection over dinner at Manny’s Tex Mex (Coit & Campbell Roads) on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30 pm. We’ll be discussing Our Hearts Were Strangely Lukewarm, a short and engaging book by Rev. John Elford, retired elder from University UMC in Austin, Texas.
As part of our new partnership with Carolyn Bukhair Elementary, Arapaho UMC is committed to supporting the Network’s Mobile Market by providing at least four volunteers each week.
