A 5-Week Zoom Study | Begins January 27
How do our faith and the realities of immigration intersect—and what is the role of the Church in this moment?
Vital Conversations on Immigration is a five-week, Zoom-only series designed to create space for thoughtful learning, faithful reflection, and honest conversation. Beginning Monday, January 27, from 7:00–8:30 PM, this series will explore immigration not simply as a political topic, but as a deeply theological and spiritual concern rooted in the Christian story.
Together, we will engage biblical study, explore themes of migration and land, examine race and culture, reflect on the Church’s responsibility, and consider how all of these threads are connected. Each session will include prayer, video teaching, guided discussion, and self-reflection questions, offering both communal learning and personal discernment.
The heart of this study is grounded in scripture. From Genesis to Revelation, God calls us to welcome the stranger, care for the sojourner, and honor the sacred worth of every person. In our current context—where immigrants are often criminalized, excluded, and dehumanized—this series invites us to listen deeply, reflect faithfully, and resist silence in the face of injustice.
This gathering will meet on Zoom only. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants the week before the first session.
Dates: 5 Tuesdays, beginning January 27
Time: 7:00–8:30 pm
Location: Zoom (online only)
Whether you are new to this conversation or have been engaged in this work for some time, you are welcome to join us for these vital and faithful conversations.
