A Weekend of Service and Community for Middle and High School Students
UM ARMY Pop-Up Weekend | Hosted at Arapaho UMC
This fall, students in grades 6–12 have an incredible opportunity to spend a weekend serving others, growing in faith, and building lasting friendships. Arapaho UMC is excited to host a UM ARMY Pop-Up Weekend, where youth and adult leaders from churches across the area will come together for hands-on service, worship, meals, and community.
What to Expect
The weekend begins the evening of Friday, September 19 with dinner and worship, followed by a full Saturday of work and fun. Teams will head out to serve through simple construction and home maintenance projects—things like yard work, painting, small repairs, and building handrails. It’s real work that makes a real difference. After a full day of service, students will enjoy a fun evening activity, dinner, and more worship. On Sunday, the spirit of service continues with worship outside the church walls and a closing lunch.
Throughout the weekend, participants will receive 16 hours of community service credit, meals, and all the materials they need for the projects. The cost to participate is $100 per student, which includes everything from supplies to giveaways to meals.
Where It’s Happening
Arapaho UMC will serve as the home base for the weekend. Depending on space availability, most activities will take place in Room 40, with worship and meals hosted on-site. All organizational logistics are being coordinated by Jenny and Jenna Reinke from UM ARMY.
How to Register
Parents can register their middle or high school student by emailing Pastor Jenny (Jenny@arapahoumc.org). Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.
This weekend is a meaningful way for young people to engage their faith through service, connect with peers from other churches, and discover the joy that comes from helping others.
