Parties with a Purpose: Fundraising for Missions

Imagine this: an evening filled with laughter and good food, surrounded by familiar faces and maybe a few new ones. You're at a backyard cookout, a game night, or a themed dinner party—and as you enjoy the moment, you know it’s more than just a gathering. It’s a celebration of community and a way to support the mission and outreach of Arapaho UMC.

For the past few years, these kinds of parties have been a cherished tradition at Arapaho. Church members plan creative get-togethers, and host events that others can sign up for as a fundraiser. In the past, these party fundraisers have supported ministries like Live Like Luke and other outreach efforts. This year, the energy is being directed toward mission partners and ministries like the Dallas Area Interfaith Alliance, Carolyn Bukhair Elementary, a future adult mission trip, and more!

Starting Sunday, April 27, and continuing on May 4 and May 11, the full list of these events will be posted in the coffee area. There are multiple fun and unique parties scheduled—each one with its own personality, vibe, and number of available spots. Each party will have a required donation to attend, as set by the host, and every dollar goes directly to Arapaho’s mission work.

Take a moment before or after worship to browse the list, find something that catches your eye, and sign up to be part of it. Whether you’re bidding on a spot at a fancy dinner or securing a place for a fun family event, you’ll be helping extend the reach of love and service beyond the walls of the church.
