Playfully Growing Parent-Child Relationship Workshop & Dinner
The relationship between parent and child shapes so much of who a child becomes—the way they see themselves, how they come to understand God, and how they find their place in the world. This workshop, led by Rev. Shannon Hamrick on Wednesday, September 24 at 6:00 pm, will offer parents practical strategies to nurture that bond in meaningful ways.
Through a play-based approach, parents will discover how to recognize what their children’s behaviors communicate and how best to respond, how to create a safe and supportive environment for exploration, and how to strengthen positive attachment and trust. Drawing on play therapy practices, faith understanding, and research on brain development, Shannon will guide participants in exploring effective parenting and family connection in ways that apply to children of all ages.
This will be an interactive evening, with time to practice skills, reflect on your own family dynamics, and walk away with tools you can begin using immediately. Dinner and childcare are provided, and the cost is $20 per family to help cover expenses.
