Flood Bucket Assembly Project

  • Arapaho United Methodist Church 1400 West Arapaho Road Richardson, TX, 75080 United States (map)

In response to the recent flood disaster in Central Texas, Arapaho UMC is joining with UMCOR and our regional relief warehouses to provide much-needed supplies. As these warehouses distribute aid, their resources are quickly being depleted—so we’re stepping in to help replenish them.

On Sunday, September 28, after worship, we’ll gather to assemble about 25 flood buckets filled with essential cleaning supplies to support families as they recover from the floods. We’ll need around 12 volunteers to help put the buckets together—many hands make light work!

In addition, we’re inviting families and individuals to prepare UMCOR hygiene kits at home and bring them to church that same day. These kits provide basics that make a big difference for people in crisis.

You can find instructions for preparing a kit here: UMCOR Hygiene Kit Guide

This is a tangible, hands-on way we can extend compassion and hope to our neighbors in need. Join us in this important work!
