This year, Arapaho UMC is showing up at Dallas Pride to stand in love, solidarity, and celebration with the Queer community. As an affirming church, this is a powerful opportunity to live out our values of inclusion and justice in a visible and joyful way. All events take place at Fair Park, and we’ll ride together from the Arapaho DART Station (Arapaho and Greenville).
Saturday, June 14
Meet at 10:00 am to ride the DART to Fair Park for the Dallas Pride Festival. We’ll explore the booths, enjoy food and games, and spend a few hours taking in the experience. This is a great way to discern how we might deepen our involvement next year - possibly by hosting a booth of our own in 2026.
Sunday, June 15
Meet at 1:00 pm to ride the DART to Fair Park and join other progressive United Methodist churches in marching in the Pride Parade. Arapaho UMC will have its own banner, and we’ll walk together as a public witness of God’s inclusive love. The parade kicks off at 2:00 pm and covers about ¾ of a mile.
Whether you come for the festival, the parade, or both, we hope you’ll join us in showing up with joy, pride, and love. We would love to know, in advance, how many people we are planning for. Click the button below to register.
