Rev. Cathy Sweeney

Cathy has lived here long enough (43 years) to call herself a Texan, though others will disagree. As the Associate Pastor of Discipleship, Cathy helps people live out their faith through justice and advocacy, missions, and spiritual formation. What's more, she is able to utilize her finance and commercial real estate background to help keep the church finances and building management in good shape.

Cathy is passionate about justice and advocacy, providing prophetic witness to encourage more compassionate public policies that recognize each person's dignity and worth as a child of God. She also enjoys leading the Seekers class here at Arapaho UMC, facilitating lively discussion about how we live our faith in the world.

Cathy is married to Steve and has two adult children, both who were confirmed at Arapaho UMC.
