Fall Reflection & Practices Guide

A 5-week Practice Guide for bringing your Faith into the World

We talk a lot about love in church.

We sing about it. We pray about it. We hear Jesus tell us that loving God and loving our neighbor are at the heart of everything.

But love is more than something we believe.

Love does things.

The United Methodist Social Principles are one way our church has tried to put words around that conviction. They ask what our faith means not only for our personal lives, but for the way we share this world with creation, our neighbors, our communities, our economies, and our governments.

During this series, we are asking one question together:

What does love do?

Each week, use this guide to return to the Scripture we heard in worship, reflect on a portion of our United Methodist Social Principles, and consider one way love might become something you practice.

You don't need to have the right answers. Bring your questions, your experiences, your convictions, and your curiosity.

Then listen for what love might ask of you.
