Throughout the year Arapaho's United Methodist Men organize early morning visits to the Austin Street Shelter to feed the residents. Austin Street is a unique shelter, for the amount of space, more people receive regular care than at most similar facilities in the country. Each night they provide sleeping spaces for between 300-400 men, women and children. In addition to a sleeping space they provide showers and clean clothing.
You may assist the team in several ways: by preparing food, serving food or doing both.
If you are only preparing, you may deliver your food to the church on the Saturday immediately before the service date between 2:00 and 3:00 PM.
If you are only serving, please arrive at 5:00 am at the AUMC parking lot.
If you are serving and preparing food simply bring the food when you gather at 5:00 AM.
