Adult Sunday School Classes

AUMC offers a variety of Sunday morning classes and small group gatherings. Get connected by reading and studying Scripture, discussing topical issues, and encouraging one another. Through these interactions social, spiritual, and emotional growth occurs. Classes are held from 9:45am to 10:45am on Sunday mornings.

Visitors and new members are always welcome.

LifeSearch is a self-directed class of adults with similar life issues (careers, families, life changes) seeking to explore Christian values and to grow spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. Lively discussion of biblically-based subjects helps us understand our place in this world and how to successfully order our lives to spread that word to others. Recognizing the value of community, we plan regular socials, some with our families and some for adults only.

Quest Class members are mostly a mix of married couples and singles and we take our faith seriously but believe study should be fun; our classes could be described as casual with lots of participation and room for different opinions to be heard. Social events are held periodically to add to our fellowship. We’d love for you to join us and see why this class continues to thrive after almost 25 years!

open door

The Open Door Sunday School Class is group of active senior members of Arapaho UMC.   Our weekly program is lead by a speaker or moderator on various topics (primarily Biblically based) of concern and interest to our members, including Lenten (6 weeks) and Advent (4 weeks) studies.   We support each other by sharing our joys and concerns, praying for each other, and holding social gatherings during the year.   We support many of the missions and activities of the church as well as projects of our own, including the Open Door Scholarship Fund.   While we share a very strong bond of friendship we welcome and actively seek new members.

We are a multi-generational group who encourage lively discussions around topics like Thinking Theologically, Creativity and the Stories of Creation, Restoring Relationships, Compassion: The Heart of Jesus' Ministry, Out into the World: Challenges Facing Progressive Christianity and more!

room 2

How do you move through the world as a Christian and as a spiritual person? Does your faith need a new start or maybe your doubt needs a place to be heard? Room 2 is a group of people with questions about God, the Bible and our own personal spirituality.  Through conversations on books, topics, faith and theology, we are reclaiming a fresh faith.  Each class includes times of presentation, conversation and community.
