Many of us feel overwhelmed about the prospect of raising children in our high-performance, rapid-pace culture. Reflecting on difficulties from our own families of origin can increase our doubt and insecurity about being a good parent. Many of us feel overwhelmed about the prospect of raising children in our high-performance, rapid-pace culture. Reflecting on difficulties from our own families of origin can increase our doubt and insecurity about being a good parent.

But it doesn’t have to be this way! A thriving family is a place of belonging and becoming, where each person feels safe, cared for and loved, and is supported to develop who they are for the good of the world. Perhaps the highest aspiration a family can have is to help one another discover the whole and integrated lives we were created for.

Using the book Belonging and Becoming: Creating a Thriving Family Culture by Mark and Lisa Scandrette as a guide, this five-week class invites you into an intensive and practical process of cultivating skills for creating a thriving family culture. Working through the steps with a group can provide the solidarity and support needed for lasting change while providing a profound sense of community.

Belonging and Becoming, facilitated by Brandi and Aaron Manes, will meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 for five weeks, beginning February 21.  Cost is $20 and you receive a book.

Childcare Is Provided with Registration: Register Here

There is also a children's lent activity each week for children ages 6-10 - register your child(ren) here
